The Club convened at a site that would have seen a lot of traffic years ago.
The Suburbia Center Drive-In opened in 1952 with parking room for 700 vehicles. In the early 1970s it operated for a time showing adult movies (we're trying to imagine how that would go over now). Around 1973 they built two more screens.
The site was probably cleaned of coins by metal detectorists of an earlier age, but we did find a couple of the holders for those speakers you could hang from the window of your car.
