Quonset!

Writer: gatortownmemoriesgatortownmemories

The US Military built more than 150,000 Quonset huts during WWII, and sold off most after VJ day. They became inexpensive housing or commercial space in many places including married student housing on many university campuses. Old aerial photos show that this set of huts at SE 4th and 9th was in place by 1953.
